Formed in 2007, Ricoh Production Printing Business Group came to Sterling to assist the new business division in entering the production printing marketplace. At the time, high profile players such as Xerox, Konica Minolta and HP were already dominating production printing.

Aware of Sterling’s success with Exstream Software, Ricoh worked with Sterling to support the new division in gaining awareness and visibility with print service providers. Being a global enterprise, Ricoh had a corporate PR firm and advertising agency dedicated to its other business divisions. Sterling’s work would focus on this new Ricoh division.


By 2009, Sterling developed the campaign theme “Ricoh Rocks!” Ricoh was on the production map.



In 2010, Ricoh had an award-winning booth that we designed with a pre-show video and email campaign also created by Sterling that garnered 70 appointments for product demonstrations at Ricoh’s booth, 20 more than the goal.

Sterling worked with Ricoh’s production print management team to:

  • Created a nationwide seminar series to introduce service providers to Ricoh’s offerings
  • Developed integrated print and digital marketing campaigns for the new products and services within production print
  • Built awareness of Ricoh Production Printing Business Group’s presence at Graph Expo from 2007-2011
  • Executed content marketing campaigns which fully integrated online video, email marketing and social media
